A Community-Powered Event
Each fall, our team at Creative Arc sets aside time to attend EEConf, the annual ExpressionEngine conference. This year is especially exciting: EEConf 2026 will take place October 7–8 in Toronto, marking the conference’s first time in Canada. For us, the event is more than just a conference—it’s an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, reconnect with peers in the ExpressionEngine community, and return home energized with new ideas to better serve our clients.
EEConf is unique in that it’s entirely community-powered. The conference is organized, funded, and presented by people who actively use ExpressionEngine every day. That means the sessions focus on real-world workflows and practical solutions rather than product marketing. The talks span a wide range of topics—from development techniques and performance optimization to content strategy, collaboration, and emerging tools that help teams work smarter.
Having attended EEConf in cities like San Diego and London, we’ve seen firsthand how valuable the experience can be. The sessions are insightful, but just as important are the hallway conversations, shared meals, and informal exchanges where developers, designers, project managers, and agency owners learn from each other’s experiences. Those interactions often spark ideas that shape how we approach projects long after the conference ends.
Toronto promises to continue that tradition. With a vibrant tech community and an international audience expected, EEConf 2026 should be another inspiring gathering of the ExpressionEngine ecosystem.
Attending events like EEConf helps us step back and look at our work from a broader perspective. We return with fresh strategies, improved processes, and renewed inspiration for building better websites and digital experiences.
If you’re part of the ExpressionEngine community, we’d love to see you there.
