Purdue Musical Organizations Revamps Website
August 2, 2007
Purdue Musical Organizations (PMO), a varsity-level music program at Purdue University, has launched an updated website to coincide with the start of the 2007 academic year.
PMO is a professional entertainment organization and exists to bring pleasure and enjoyment to audiences everywhere. Music fosters a spirit of camaraderie among PMO students as they learn, perform, and grow together.
The nationally acclaimed Purdue Christmas Show is presented annually to a live crowd of thousands and reaches millions more through international broadcasts on public television and radio networks. PMO performances offer a wide variety of music and have become a favorite source of entertainment for generations of music lovers.
Student performers present more than 200 performances each year. PMO’s mission is to bring positive recognition and honor to Purdue, continually challenge students to realize their potential, and always “leave the audience better than we found them.”
PMO maintains high academic standards and offers scholarships, grants, and tutoring assistance. Since its founding in 1933, PMO strives to provide the highest quality musical entertainment for audiences. However, PMO’s most important goal is to provide a program for students to learn, perform, and grow together.
Featuring event calendars, online audition forms and the “Centerstage” photo gallery, the website is powered by a content management system that allows PMO staff as well as students to maintain the site.
