“Awarded 101 Best Web Sites for Writers” by Writer’s Digest
In the fourteen months since the first review was published, Armchair Interviews has posted over 1,000 book reviews on www.ArmchairInterviews.com and Amazon.
Writer’s Digest named Armchair Interviews one of the top 101 sites from over 1400 nominated. Armchair Interviews joins the other distinguished sites announced in the May 2006 issue.
Armchair Interviews was started in January 2005 by two women, Andrea Sisco from Eden Prairie and Connie Anderson of Bloomington. They have been friends for almost 30 years, and both had previously hosted author interview television shows. This was a perfect combination of their passions and talents.
“Our passion is emerging authors as well as established authors,” says co-founder Sisco, “and we can review a large number of books because we have over 60 people worldwide who review for us.”
In addition to posted book reviews and downloadable 20-minute fee-based author audio interviews, the site has contests, and provides information to readers and writers.
Armchair Interviews publishes book reviews in the Southwest Newspapers, serving the southwest suburbs of the Twin Cities.
Anyone can sign up on the web site for a free monthly ezine (electronic newsletter).
This honor was announced in the May 2006 issue of the magazine on page 32.
